Seasons is a lovely bar in central Buxton run by a husband and wife team (Steve and Sarah) who have a real passion for craft beer and wine. Their little bar is an intimate venue that aims to provide an excellent range of drinks together with a warm friendly welcome to both human and canine visitors
Sacro Lounge sits on a great corner site, facing onto Spring Gardens by the entrance to the shopping centre, close to the train station and the Crescent. Lovely big windows give a light and airy feel to the downstairs, with a pretty feel to the space upstairs.
They have a fantastic range of food and drinks (including full kids, gluten-free, and vegan menus) and everyone is made very welcome – shoppers, locals, visitors, kids, and dogs
RedWillow is a lovely bar situated right in the center of town and housed in an old bank. Very good choice of drinks, helpful staff, and certainly very dog-friendly.
Buxton Brewery Tap House and Cellar Bar: The Tap House: First opened in 2013, currently has 4 cask beer lines and 20 keg beer lines alongside plenty of cans to drink in or takeaway.
The Cellar Bar: Opened next door to the Tap House in 2018 with 4 cask and 12 keg beer lines to provide a cosy and intimate drinking experience.
The Old Sun Inn is a 17th-century converted coaching inn with a stone floor and oak paneling. The pub is the second oldest building in Buxton, with a vintage-styled interior, a working fireplace, and a beautiful outdoor drinking area.
The Cheshire Cheese pub is the perfect destination for a great pint and great pub grub! Home-cooked food is served daily and the menu includes all pub classics from Fish and Chips to a Sunday lunch. Food is sourced locally from Buxton.
They have two log-burning fires to keep you and your pooch cosy and warm, and if the weather is being kind they have a large beer garden to sit and relax in.

Lubens is a small, independent bar and kitchen located a few minutes walk from Buxton Opera House. Open daily from 11.30 am until late, serving local cask ales, a full range of wines and spirits alongside a varied and seasonal food menu. Lubens offers the perfect post-walk relaxing, friendly atmosphere for you and your dog.
Cafe @ The Cavern has a range of hot food and snacks, warm and cold beverages. If you’ve worked up a thirst exploring the Woodlands, then this is the place to replenish.
Their menu contains locally produced ingredients. Freshly ground fair-trade coffee and gorgeous homemade soups and cakes with vegetarian and gluten-free options – and even homemade dog biscuits!
Buxton Brewery is creating a brand new Garden Tap at their brewery in Spring 2024 which will serve great food, fresh Buxton beers, and coffee seven days a week! The new Taproom at The Brewery on Staden Lane will be both dog and family-friendly with an outside area for kids to play safely.
